It contains super wash merino wool + nylon (85/15) hand dyed by fellow Fiberista, Moonrover Spins. The colors include a blend of purple blues, mauve pinks and pond greens contrasted with golden ochre, tree bark brown and hints of beige and cream.

Successful morning here thrifting with a friend before heading to Farmer's market. Now salsa verde is on the docket this afternoon with fresh local tomatillos and garlic, yummmm ~



FYI, yesterday's falafel recipe was a success! Even froze half of it before cooking to enjoy again.

When I embarked on making falafel, I had no idea it would be so time consuming... the chickpeas required an overnight soak plus a two hour simmer. Everything else went fairly quick and I was able to prepare while waiting for the peas to cook. Above are a few quick picts from the process. It's what's on the menu here tonight at { Chez Whirlwend } so I've yet to taste if it's worth the effort?? I'll stop back by here tomorrow to let you know.
